This year’s Holidazzle is presented by the Minneapolis Downtown Council and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB). It’s an opportunity MPRB is excited to be part of as this year’s event will take place in Loring Park.

“Holidazzle is one of the great traditions that makes Minneapolis so special,” said Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Superintendent Jayne Miller. “We Minnesotans embrace the winter months and parks are the place where families, friends and neighbors come together to make memories.”

They’ll do so this holiday season during Holidazzle.

The event will take place in Loring Park on Thursdays through Sundays beginning Friday, November 27 and running through Sunday, December 20. Thursdays and Fridays will run from 5 pm-9 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays will take place from 11 am-9 pm.

The mission of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is to permanently preserve, protect, maintain, improve and enhance its natural resources, parkland, and recreation opportunities for current and future generations.

MPRB exists to provide places and recreation for all people to gather, celebrate, contemplate and engage in activities that promote health, well-being, community and the environment.

More than 21 million annual visits are made to the nationally-acclaimed park system here in Minneapolis, which was named the No. 1 park system in the nation in 2013, 2014 and 2015 by The Trust for Public Land’s 2015 ParkScore Index.

It’s a great fit for Holidazzle, which will create a special holiday gathering place in downtown Minneapolis’ largest park for our community to enjoy.

When you arrive at Holidazzle this year, you’ll see a majestic North Country scene in the heart of the city. The ambiance of the vendors, lights, activities and entertainment perfectly aligns with the Park Board’s mission and vision for its parks.

Holidazzle is a long-standing holiday tradition here in Minneapolis, and this year’s event will have a focus on local products and businesses taking part. That, too, fits well with being located in Loring Park and partnering with MPRB, given their longstanding history of helping create an extraordinary experience for those who live, work, play, visit and explore in our city.

It’s something MPRB is excited to help facilitate this holiday season.

“With construction along Nicollet Mall, we are  proud to host this year’s Holidazzle event and be part of the rich fabric of the downtown Minneapolis community,” Miller said. “Our dedicated staff will be working to prepare the park, keep trails clear of snow and help provide a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience for all.”
