Your Holidazzle Guide: December 10-13

This weekend is another great opportunity for you and your family and/or friends to come down to Holidazzle enjoy all the great activities, foods, beverages and shopping. Since there are so many things coming up, we thought it would be a good idea to run down a few things that you need to know about Holidazzle that will help you prepare your trip. Below is the must-know information for the upcoming Holidazzle weekend, December 10-13.

See you there:

Holidazzle runs Thursdays and Fridays from 5 pm-9 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am-9 pm. If you are unable to come this weekend, it will be open during those times on Dec. 17-20 as well. Stop down and have fun!

We’re located in Loring Park this year. You can enter Holidazzle via the Walking Paths supported by North Memorial at the corners of Grant & Willow, Maple & Harmon or Hennepin/Lyndale & Oak Grove.

Parking nearby is affordable and easy to find. Stop by and park for $5 or less at Walker Art Center, Parade Park, Minneapolis Community & Technical College or IDS Center Parking Garage. Directions and addresses are listed on www.holidazzle.com/directions.

If you’re coming on Saturday, visit www.holidazzle.com and print off your FREE Ride Voucher courtesy of Metro Transit. Each rider needs a printed pass, and they are valid from 10 am-10 pm on Saturday.

Join the Fun:

Come down and skate at the downtown Minneapolis skating rink in Loring Park! This rink is free and open to the public, and it also includes access to the Holidazzle Warming House courtesy of CenterPoint Energy during Holidazzle operation hours. Stop by and have fun on the ice. Bringing your own skates is encouraged, but you can also borrow a pair on site inside the warming house. The skates are available in various sizes and in hockey and figure skating styles, and they are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Friday: North Star Blues Project

Saturday: A Time 4/4 Music Piano Students, Metropolitan Boys Choir, Lakeville North Now & Then Singers, City County Chorus, Vocal U A Capella, Crystal Lake Central High School Madrigal Singers, Jingle Jazz

Sunday: Shattuck-St. Mary’s, Maple Grove Senior High “Crimson Harmony,” and Medtronic Choir

Free scarf-making sessions with Minnesota United are taking place on Saturday beginning at 11 am

Sunday’s Holidazzle Movie Classic supported by North Memorial is Home Alone (KEVIN!!!). Stop by at 5 pm and watch this 1990s John Hughes hit, you filthy animals.

After the movie on Sunday night, jump on a free carriage ride compliments of the Loring Park Neighborhood (provided by Citizens for a Loring Park Community, Friends of Loring Park and Loring Park Community Center).

Shop, Browse and Sample:

These great food vendors are on site and have sensational eats: Minnesota Harvest apple treats, Cheese Curds, Cindy’s Cinnamon Roasted Nuts, Kramarczuk’s sausages, Mrs. Olson’s Lefse, Walt’z ribs and mac & cheese, K-Town Street Foods’ kimchi fries and Korean taco bowls, Polish Bistro’s pierogis, The Littlest Pancakes’ poffertjes, Burbach’s potato pancakes, Black Forest Inn’s soups, Venus’ spaetzle, and Sweet Dreams Concession’ mini donuts and s’mores.

Wash it down with several great beverage treats, including hot cider, hot chocolate or water. For the adults, there is Fulton Beer’s Lonely Blonde, Sweet Child of Vine, The Ringer and a SPECIAL Holidazzle Stout (limited supplies), as well as Sociable Cider Werks’ spiced mulled cider.

For shopping, try out these great vendors: Faribault Woolen Mill Co., Heather’s Dirty Good Seasoning, Kathe Wohfahrt ornaments, Love Your Melon Holidazzle hats, Minnesota Nice shirts, Moshiki hats and products, Nordic Cinnamon Sprinkle, Stein House Steins, Stroopwafels, Three Rivers Farm maple syrup and Wintercraft ice globes.

And ONLY for this weekend, visit these sensational pop-up shops: August Fischer Makers handcrafted wood items, Food Building featuring Red Table Meat Co. and The Lone Grazer Creamery, and Minneapolis Camera Collective’s art work.
