Starting out as just a high school hobby, Vikse Designs designer/maker Jeannie Trelles combined her love of travel, fashion and nature to turn jewelry-making into a business.
She creates one of a kind jewelry using semi-precious stones and sterling silver. One feature that makes Vikse Designs so unique is Jeannie’s use of natural materials such as shells, pearls, wood and leather. She also combines a variety of crafting techniques in her work including crocheting bezels, hand knotting, wire wrapping, metal working and stringing beads in order to showcase the beauty of the stones.
You can find this handmade sterling silver and natural stone jewelry, as well as jewelry items geared more towards kids at Holidazzle this year Nov. 25-27.
Holidazzle’s full calendar run is Thursdays through Sundays from Friday, November 25 through Friday, December 23. It is open Thursdays from 5-9 pm, Fridays from 5-10 pm, Saturdays from 11 am-10 pm and Sundays from 11 am-7 pm.
Jeannie remembers going to Holidazzle has a kid and is extremely excited to be a part of it this year.
She first sold her jewelry to more than just family and friends at a coffee shop that she worked at back in 2009. After that initial successful show, Jeannie wanted to look for ways to get her creations in front of larger audiences. Vikse Designs was born, and has only grown from there.
Since then, Jeannie has participated in many different local art fairs over the summer seasons. This is why she is most excited to get her jewelry in front of a new audience during Holidazzle.
“I hope that people will appreciate my one of a kind handmade jewelry, and find gifts for their family and friends (and maybe something for themselves too!),” Jeannie said. “Hopefully they will look to find me in the future at another show as well.”
