Mike Baumann started his business, Diamond Willow Dreams, LLC, over 20 years ago with items he created through a hobby he learned during his youth as an Eagle Scout.
All rooted from that hobby, today Diamond Willow Dreams, LLC produces hotdog and marshmallow forks, chainsaw carved table lamps, log beds, custom diamond willow table lighting, and grilling and campfire accessories made with diamond willow handles.
“Even though it takes a long time to do, it is a labor of love,” Mike said.
You can find all of these hand crafted and unique pieces at Holidazzle this Nov. 25-27. Holidazzle’s full calendar run is Thursday through Sundays from Friday, November 25 through Friday, December 23. It is open Thursdays from 5-9 pm, Fridays from 5-10 pm, Saturdays from 11 am-10 pm and Sundays from 11 am-7 pm.
It’s apparent that this original hobby has also sparked tradition throughout Mike’s family. He as well as his three younger brothers, son and each of his nephews have all taken to becoming Eagle Scouts just like Mike.
Mike has been happily married for 36 years to the love of his life and soulmate. His daughter and son have also given them six wonderful grandchildren.
One of his favorite things about the holidays is the holiday spirit that fills the air as well as watching his grandkids open presents.
Mike simply loves his life, and loves what he does. He said too many people have a certain job or career just for its status or income. That’s not for him.
“I know we will never get rich, and we are okay with this,” Mike said. “It makes me happy when I see the enjoyment people get using our products.”
