Blue Turtle Handmade Crafts creates handmade items and jewelry from polymer clay. Owner and Maker Kathy Frey designs everything from braille jewelry to treasure boxes.
At Holidazzle this year Kathy’s main focus will be offering her holiday items. She’ll have faux ribbon-candy jewelry, holiday colored ornaments, and other gift items including: jewelry boxes, clay rose necklaces and braille jewelry and accessories.
“I’ve always loved Holidazzle,” Kathy said. “All the lights, and celebrating Minneapolis and winter – what could be better?” said Kathy Frey, owner and maker of Blue Turtle Handmade Crafts.
Holidazzle’s full calendar run this year is Thursdays through Sundays from Friday, November 24 through Saturday, December 23. It is open Thursdays from 5-9 pm, Fridays from 5-10 pm, Saturdays from 11 am-10 pm and Sundays from 11 am-7 pm.
Kathy started making products with polymer clay back in 2003, when she offered completely different types of items. Her business then took off in 2011 when she switched up her products, started a website and got her Etsy shop rolling. You know these are quality products each made uniquely because Kathy makes and designs every item with her own two hands.
“I’ve always loved working with Polymer Clay,” Kathy said. “Like many hobbies, I started making more fun things than I could use and it grew and expanded from there.”
Kathy is originally from Minneapolis and has lived here most of her life.
“I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else for the holidays,” she said. “With the snow, lights, holiday spirit and mix of small town feel and big city excitement, Minnesota IS the holidays.”
