Organic Body Care Products from Blue Egg Farmstore make their way to Holidazzle

Robyn Spector started her organic body care business because she wanted to offer her children and family safe options for their skin, ones she knew she could trust. Robyn believes in natural healing and that includes using medicinal plants and ingredients that she knows are safe and natural.  From sunscreen to bug spray and deodorant, there are so many chemicals in these conventional products and they have a huge potential to harm us. A lot of people think that just because they are on the shelf, they are safe to use, but a lot of the research coming out now is showing that they are toxic to our bodies. Robyn takes these products and finds a completely natural and safe alternative that you can not only trust, but that also work with the added benefit of plant infusions.

Everything made by Blue Egg Farmstore has some type of healing plant infusion, from St. John’s Wort to arnica, to calendula and chamomile, nettle, yarrow, lavender, peppermint or even rosemary. They dry these plants and herbs and cold infuse them in oils for 12 weeks before adding them to their body care products.

“Being able to talk with folks who are just learning about using natural products really excites me,” Robyn said.  To pass on knowledge about alternatives to healing yourself is powerful for a lot of folks. To know that some of the plants right in your backyard or ones that grow along the path you are hiking on can heal a lot of the common ailments we are experiencing.

Robyn is a single mom who homeschools all three of her children while running their business. All three children are, in some way, part of the company.  Her 17-year-old son, Parker, makes the labels and does the graphic design work.  Her 15-year-old daughter, Presley, comes up with a lot of the ideas for products, helps with recipe testing and enjoys talking to people at the markets. Her 9-year-old daughter, Yaya, has created her own essential oil blends for their natural perfume lines.  Blue Egg Farmstore is really a family business in the truest sense.

The holiday season for the Spector family means more opportunity to talk to folks about the natural alternatives.  “Holidazzle seems to attract folks that care about the world around them, their health, their environment and others. It is a great chance to meet a lot of like-minded people and hear their stories,” said Robyn
